About Kelly

Kelly Jo Wilson’s journey as an author began with silly tales about Willy Worm in first grade.

She’s dreamed of being a writer. But after the devastating loss of her older sister, she pursued a career in nursing, driven by a passion for helping people heal and find strength.

As a registered nurse, she’s been privileged to witness the profound impact of human connection, especially in gut-wrenching moments.  Despite her love for nursing, she couldn’t ignore the persistent call to return to her first love: writing.

God steered her through brokenness, personal mistakes, and heartache, showing that her stories, infused with His grace, could encourage others.

She stumbles trying to be obedient, writing love stories that navigate the messiness of life and the beauty of redemption. Through stories, she hopes to connect with women who, like her, have faced their own battles and are seeking a reminder of the transformative power of love and grace.

Here's a Peek Into Kelly's Heart

God’s grace poured out in physical form . . .

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV

The Broken Parts of Kelly

As a teenager, Kelly looked in the mirror one day and didn’t like what she saw. That moment sent her down a spiral she’d struggled with her entire life.

At one point, her mother looked at her skin and bones and feared I would die. She never meant to hurt anyone. But tried living up to the person she wanted to see in that mirror.

Kelly realized that person didn’t exist.

She adopted a never-good-enough mindset that bled into all aspects of her life. The struggle was completely internal.

On the outside, no one would’ve guessed every mistake, every lie she told herself, and every horrible decision stuck inside her heart like a thorn. She didn’t deserve to be blessed, or that’s what she believed to her core.

But Jesus Christ showed her something different.

Her worth isn’t about her, it’s because of Him . . . His sacrifice, His glory, His merit. Through the grace of God, His Father.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

-II Corinthians 5:17, NKJV
